this site.
Q. Why you should link to other sites?
A. The major search engines now rank sites by "popularity," and "relevance" which simply means the most popular or relevant site, (to a given search phrase), is placed higher than a site with less popularity. This is measured by the number of good class, relevant links coming into a site.
Q. So how do you obtain good links into your site?
A. There is only one correct way - and that is the long way. Find sites which are relevant to your content, then ask the webmaster if he will exchange links. This is very very tedious, and if the site you found is highly placed, often the webmaster will not be willing to give you a link from his highly positioned site.
We want to link to sites which have similar content to ours (travel and/or accommodation related sites), becasue we believe customers will go where they will, and choose what they want. We may actually accept sites which appear to be in competition with us, because they are of course the most highly relevant.
Our procedure is this: First add our link below to your links page, then e-mail us telling us where the link is. (This should not be buried somewhere on the tenth level of your site, it should be no lower than the second level). We will then check the link, and notify you we have placed a reciprocal link on our link exchange page, usually within 48 hours.
